The farmers’ market was born in 2023, when a few residents began gathering weekly in the heart of the village of Mansonville (a hamlet in the Municipality of Potton Township) to sell surplus produce from their gardens and farms. Over time, the market grew, diversified its products and settled in front of Mansonville’s famous round barn, in a series of fixed kiosks.

In 2023, it moved under the multi-purpose covered municipal structure, with new custom-built mobile kiosks. This new configuration allows the market manager to adapt the layout to suit the exhibitors and their products.

In 2024, the first board of directors took over the market. This change was aimed at bringing together various local players to ensure the market’s long-term future as a community initiative serving the local economy and the region’s food security.
